By the mid '70s he was already regarded as one of the foremost documenters of the scene working with major attractions such as John Lennon & Yoko Ono, Tina Turner, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Elton John, Kiss etc., and also covering the emerging New Wave and Punk bands including The New York Dolls, Patti Smith, Clash, Sex Pistols, Ramones & Blondie.

Led Zeppelin was very interesting to see. Jimmy Page played his guitar with a violin bow, but he was only lit by lazer light. This makes for a great stage visual effect but it is very hard to photograph because the light is not very bright.

Sid Vicious got involved with some girls in the front row who called to him to come close to them. When he did, they punched him in the nose which caused it to bleed a lot. Sid seemed to enjoy this. Iggy Pop has the best stomach muscles in Rock & Roll, he looks good just standing still. Patti Smith is a very intense performer. In this shot I got a view of Patti with the audience in the background so you can see how they are reacting, cheering for her.
